The Ashanti Regional Health Directorate has reiterated that all dead bodies of persons who die after contracting the Coronavirus infection will be subjected to a strict burial code.
The Regional Health Director Mr. Emmanuel Tenkorang announced at a press briefing held today Monday 23rd March 2020 in Kumasi that families of deceased will not be permitted to carry out the burial but will be done and supervised by the Ministry of Health together with the Ministry of Environment and sanitation.
Corpse of affected persons will not be handed over to the family and that the new code for burials will not be patterned after the normal traditional way.
He has therefore called on all families to corporate with officials.
