Business Management Practices; NBU Speaker Charges Entrepreneurs On Business Registeration

Young entrepreneurs within Asokore Mampong Municipality have been enlightened by officials of the No Business as Usual Project on why they should have their businesses registered.

The above emerged when facilitators during one of NBU Project’s training program held on Saturday, 10th April 2021 gave them tips on how they can effectively manage their businesses.

Their presentations touched on Financial literacy and Basic management practices; records keeping at the workplace, preparation of budget on expenses, spending within a budget, how to calculate financial earnings, registration of business, customer relations among others.

The training was organised by officials of NBU Project through a collaboration with management of HASKE RADIO under the theme; “BASIC MANAGEMENT PRACTICES”.

In his presentation on the latter, CEO for Ikhlas Global Company Limited Mr. Mohammed Amin Masawudu charged participants to get their businesses registered.

He indicated that most business owners are of the perception that, should they register their businesses, they will be made to pay huge tax.

The foregoing notion he underlined has discouraged a number of entrepreneurs in Ghana from registering their business.

Mr. Mohammed Amin Masawudu in an interview with on the sidelines kicked against that perception, underscoring that registering a business comes with so much benefits such as access to loans, awarding of contracts etc.

In his presentation, he also schooled participants to establish a good customer relations, put up good attitude towards their work among others.

Mr. Samuel Amoako (Corporate Trainer/Entrepreneur) on his part educated participants on budget preparation, living within a budget, records keeping, discipline and decision taking in financial management.

Touching on budget, he made an indication that the collapse of most institutions in Ghana owes to the fact that owners and managers failed to spend within their budget.

“This is something killing a lot of business in Ghana”.

He said in an interview that it is very needful to go by what is enshrined within a budget, adding that if one is not financially disciplined, there is no way he or she can fully manage a business.
