President of the Republic of Ghana His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo has issued an order for the observance of a National Day of Fasting and prayers by all Ghanaians.
On Wednesday 25th March 2020 as announced by the President, all Christians, Muslims and members of other religious bodies across the country are to embark on a nationwide fasting and prayers.
Through the foreging, they will seek the face of God and call on him(God) to protect and save Ghanaians from the Coronavirus pandemic.
He made this statement in a televised nationwide address tonight 20th March 2020 as he gave an update on the interventions taken by government as in addressing the challenge.
His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo just last Thursday had a breakfast meeting with a group prominent clergy of the Christian faith. At the meeting, they lifted prayers of intersession on behalf of the country.
