Hon Alidu Seidu, Municipal Chief Executive Officer for Asokore Mamapong Municipality today 5th June 2020 had a meeting with head teachers of both private and public schools in his area. The purpose was to make them privy to decision taken by the assembly to get all schools fumigated before authorities receive final years students for academic lessons.
The fumigation exercise forms part of safety measures aimed at disinfecting classrooms, boarding houses plus other facilities so as to insulate students against the deadly covid-19.
It will also fall in line with the President’s call for the fumigation and disinfection of academic institutions prior to the opening of schools to all final year junior high, senior high and university students to resume classes ahead of the conduct of their respective exit examinations.
Present during at the engagement were the Municipal Education Director Hajia Katumi Attah Nantogmah.
Speaking to www.leakynews.net, Hon Alidu Seidu said the exercise will kick-start right after they are done with the fumigation of churches on Friday and Saturday.
Yesterday, the Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly fumigated a number of mosques ahead of today’s Jummah prayers. Same will be done for churches on Friday and Saturday.
