Municipal Chief Executive Officer for Asokore Mampong Municipality Hon Alidu Seidu has equipped hundred women with the knowledge on how to locally prepare alcohol based hand sanitisers.
All beneficiaries are residents of his area of jurisdiction.
They were taken through the training on Thursday 2nd April 2020 as a way of giving them an alternative vocation that can drive some level of economic benefits for themselves and their families.

A number of women within the African setting always tend to overly on their husbands as their sole means of survival instead of taking up a vocation to ease the burden of their financial demands on their partners.
Premised on the foregoing status-quo, Hon Alidu Seidu firmly stated in an interview with leakynews.net that persons belonging to feminine gender needs to be empowered with vocational skills to make them financially independent.
In the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, Hon Alidu Seidu also considered that the preparation of the alcohol based handrubs will assist in the fight against the virus since it is accepted as an alternative means for rapidly and effectively inactivating a wide array of potentially harmful microorganisms on the hands.
TRAINING
With the know-how acquired during the training, the hundred beneficiaries were able to produce 50,000 alcohol based hand sanitisers which were distributed to residents, households, private and public institutions within the Municipality.
The women after completing the training were supported with the needed logistics needed to aid them in passing on the knowledge to others in Asokore Mampong Municipality.
