The NDC parliamentary candidate for Asante Akyem North Constituency, Chief Kofi Asamoah, has urged the youth to learn a vocation.
Doing that according to him will make them financially independent.
The above advise came up after he had organized a week-long entrepreneurial skills training for unemployed youth within the constituency.
Participants of the training were taught how to make bridal fans, local drinks, soaps, detergent among others.
Addressing the media, Chief Kofi Asamoah expressed gratitude to the trainees for availing themselves for the programme.
He urged them to make good use of the skills acquired.
He noted that, the constituency is the hub of agriculture and will therefore make sure that mechanized farming is adopted by farmers in the area as a substitute for the traditional approach.
Some of beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the aspiring MP, reassuring him that, the skills acquired would be put to good use.
They said the training would help them to establish businesses to improve their lives.
The training was the first of its kind in the constituency and the beneficiaries pledged to vote for Chief Kofi Asamoah to win parliamentary seat for him do more to improve the lives of the youth.
