www.leakynews.net has picked report which suggests the release of CNN correspondents from police custody.
Named Jimenez, along with a producer Bill Kirkos and a photojournalist officially called Leonel Mendez were apprehended by the police at the time the three were reporting on a protests in Minneapolis around 6 am.
According to news feed coming in, the three were released from the Hennepin Country Public Safety Facility in downtown Minneapolis minutes ago.
Per reports gathered, CNN camera during the arrest was also taken into custody but interestingly, it continued to record as the crew was handcuffed while the police were unaware that the camera was still on.
