An aspiring chairman for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bosometwe constituency of the Ashanti region, Mr. Joseph Asante has promised to open up and render accounts to the members of the party if voted for the position.
Popularly called “Sika wɔ bush” noted that the current chairman for the constituency has not rendered account since he was elected for the position.
The businessman and current treasurer for the constituency was speaking to the media after he appeared before the party’s vetting committee at Beauty Queen Hotel at Santase on Friday, April 22, 2022,
Mr. Asante also promised to allow members of the party to share their views and opinions at the constituency’s delegates’ conference, unlike the current chairman who is contesting for the position again.
He noted that the members of the party were yarning for change and calling him to contest for the chairman position and believed they will give him the nod.
Mr. Asante, therefore, appealed to delegates in the constituency to vote massively for him to bring change to the constituency and canvas more votes for the party in the 2024 general elections.
“Sika wɔ bush” has been cleared by the party’s vetting committee to contest for the chairman position and will appear on the third spot on the ballot paper.
