Authorities of Old Tafo Municipal Assembly have given out a number items to Persons With Disability (PWD).
This was a start-up support given by officials to aid them in their respective choice of vocation.
The total price value of the items was given as GH 40,000.
They included bags of charcoal, physical cash,sheep, disposable cups and bowls, second-hand clothing and a litany of others.
They were presented yesterday 4th May 2020 by the MCE Hon Fred Obeng Owusu at the assembly to the first batch of 16 beneficiaries.
Making the presentation, the MCE underscored the items as a special package from government for all persons with disability.
The move he explained is to offer them entrepreneurial support and to also empower them economically through their effective utilization.
According to the MCE, another batch of 16 PWDs will also receive their share in the next two weeks.
Beneficiaries thanked the assembly for the support and promised to make good use of them.
