SOS Ghana GrEEn Project; Officials Hold Simulation Exercise On Training Curriculum

Officials of SOS Ghana Green Project have piloted a simulation exercise on the new training curriculum developed to assist in the training of CFE beneficiaries under the project.

The piloting was carried out within the Asokore Mampong Municipality on 22nd March 2021 and the objective was to empower beneficiaries to discover green job opportunities and business and to also provide the team of the project valuable feedback on the curriculum among other things.

Other objectives were; help trainers familiarise with the training content and activities in the new training content, identify potential shortfalls and challenges on the training content, acess how beneficiaries would comprehend and relate with the new training curriculum, ascertain how impactful the training content would be toward the objectives of the GrEEn Project.

During the simulation exercise, Trainers Gariba Baba Muntawakilu and Moses Annor gave participants practical knowledge on business and jobs that are and are not GrEEn friendly and the need to embrace the foremost as a profession .


The SOS Ghana GrEEn Project is a four-year action, aimed at creating greater economic and employment opportunities for youth, women and returning migrants by promoting and supporting sustainable green business.

The implementation of the project is carried out within 10 districts located within Ashanti and Western Regions; 6 districts in Ashanti and 4 districts in the Western region.

The target is to train 4,000 youth in the two regions.

Briefing www.leakynews.net on the sidelines, Training Team Lead Mr. Shaibu Fuseini said that officials since the execution of the move have been able to come out with projects including tree planting, construction of mechanised boreholes, etc.

He noted that the project will offer a support for the incubation and acceleration of selected Micro, Small and Medium-sized Entreprises with the potential to green their business models in sectors such as agriculture, energy and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene.
