Big time small scale miner of the Amansie West District Daniel Kwaku Mensah a.k.a “DKM” has indicated that the use of the military by government at mining sites to clamp down “galamsey” operations will make NPP loose big time in 2024 general elections.
A collosal number of small scale miners across the country according to him are highly peeved owing to the above move, explaining that NPP government under he present leadership of Akuffo-Addo is tackling illegal mining via the military as though the country is at war.
Unlike the NDC, NPP through the military he noted is burnt on burning excavators of innocent and legal miners.
“This has provoked majority of us again the governance of President Akuffo-Addo and NPP as a party… My brother let me tell you the truth, NPP will lose totally in 2024. Their “breaking the eight” mantra is just by mouth. It will never see the light of day”.
Mr. DKM continued to indicate that “upon all the military apparatus assigned for the task, the battle has until now not been successful”, he added.
Mr. DKM who is an ardent member of NPP said government should do away with the military and work through the task force instituted by small sale miners association at the district level.
He defended that personnel making up the task force are grass root men and that they are highly in touch with the realities on the ground.
“This is what will save the situation”.
