2020 WASSCE; 34,371 candidates from 169 private SHSs to sit for exams in Ghana

 

 

According to the Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS), about 34,371 candidates from 169 Private Senior High Schools (SHS) across the country will be sitting for this year’s WASSCE for school candidates.

The practical aspect of the examination commenced Monday July, 2020 but WAEC has scheduled for the WASSCE to officially kick start on August 3, 2020 for all candidates in the country.

They will on August 3, 2020, start the theory aspect of the examination with Integrated Science and ends with the Principle of Cost Accounting on September 5, 2020.

The Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS) in line with the conduct of the examination has disclosed the number of candidates from private Senior High Schools (SHS) to sit for the examination.

A statement signed by Mr Enoch Kwesi Gyetuah, the Executive Secretary of GNACOPS copied to Georgeweb.org indicates that 34,371 students from 169 Private Senior High Schools (SHS) in the country will partake the 2020 edition of the West African Senior Secondary Examination (WASSCE).

 

According to the data distribution, the Greater Accra region has the highest number of candidates and the Upper West Region with the least number.

Mr Enoch Kwesi Gyetuah on behalf of the Council wished all the candidates from the various Private Senior High Schools (SHS) across the country the best of luck in their final examination.

He also urged them to strictly adhere to the COVID-19 preventive protocols including wearing face masks, use of alcohol-based sanitizer, among other before, during and after the examination.
