Hon Musah Superior has finally spilled the bean vis-à-vis his unabated quest for the NPP General Secretary position.
Though presently John Boadu still reigns as the incumbent and that it was under his tenure that NPP won the 2016 and 2020 general elections, the outspoken cum maverick politician has set the record straight that the party however performed badly during the last elections.
“As for winning the elections of course he was the general Secretary when we won in 2016 and 2020 and nobody can take it away from him and if you want to deliberately take it away from him that will be a bad politics and I don’t do that”.
He added in an interview with Accra based radio station Kingdom Fm 107.7 on Monday by indicating that “…in 2020 we performed so badly that we need some new ideas to redeem the NPP”.
Considering how NPP’s parliamentary seats and Presidential votes declined during 2020 general elections, he made a strong indication that there is no way a healthy party will struggle the way NPP did.
The former Mayor for Tamale made a bold assertion that “the managers of the party for the 2020 elections did not do a good job and a number of NPPs have thrown in their hat in the ring and they want to do the jobs that these people failed to do correctly”.
Answering a question on why delegates should vote for him, he explained that his top ten plans which he has officially issued is enough prove of why he deserves the support of delegates.
“This elections is not about talking too much. We look at past records and look at our plans and the kind of things one has done for the party”.
