Please be informed that being low on fuel can affect us in many different ways.
I remember having the worst argument with my sister at our most sought after vacation, with both of us subjecting the other with the meanest things we have probably ever said to each other.
You wonder why?
Well, we were famished and we did not have enough dollars in hand to get something that would make us feel full.
It is understood that one can’t be on a full stomach all the time but there are some things that you should never do on an empty stomach or when you have not eaten in a while.
Below are some of them;
1. NEVER TAKE ANTI-INFLAMMATORY MEDICINES: You should normally not have medicines on an empty stomach, especially not when they are anti-inflammatory.
Check with your doctor too, in case there are any prior food recommendations.
2. Neverr go to sleep
NEVER GO TO SLEEP:
Yes, you must keep a gap of 2-3 hours between your last meal and your bedtime but that does not mean that you snooze feeling hungry.
Have a glass of milk or an apple before bedtime.
3. Neverr have alcohol
NEVER HAVE ALCOHOL:
Drinking on an empty stomach will hit you harder because the rate of alcohol absorption in your body will be high. It will affect your heart, liver as well as kidney.
4.NEVER MAKE A DECISION:
Making a decision on empty stomach may alter your performance and may leave you feeling regretful later on.
5. NEVER DO INTENSE WORKOUT:
Working out on an empty stomach may affect your performance and you may not be able to reach your maximum potential because your body feels less energy.
So, it’s best to eat a fruit and nuts before hitting the gym.
6. NEVER ARGUE:
When you are ravenous, you are not in the right frame of mind. It can interfere with your mind and might make matters worse.
7. NEVER NEGOTIATE:
If you are functioning low in fuel, you will not be able to do negotiations in the best way possible.
8. NEVER SHOP FOR GROCERIES:
Shopping for grocery on an empty stomach is a big mistake.
You will end up buying more than you need and you will see that you will also make the error of picking unhealthy snacks over healthy ones. You will end up picking more high carb and high sugar treats.
9. NEVER CHEW GUMS:
Do you often make the mistake of over chewing the gum? And do you have it on an empty stomach? If yes, this can lead to inflammation in the stomach. Never chew them for more than 10-15 minutes.
10. NEVER HAVE
Drinking coffee on an empty stomach is not advisable. It can not only cause heart burn but even lead to digestive issues.
Most people even skip their breakfast after their cup of coffee, which makes matters worse.
